On Monday 25 April 2016, Huntingdonshire District Council raised the Huntingdonshire Flag at Pathfinder House to mark Huntingdonshire Day.

The Huntingdonshire Society has declared that 25 April each year shall be marked as Huntingdonshire Day to celebrate the county, its people and its past, present and future.

Jo Lancaster, Managing Director for the district council, said: "Huntingdonshire is a wonderful county with four market towns surrounded by tranquil villages, a nature reserve and beautiful country parks, all nestled along the River Great Ouse. Huntingdonshire Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate the area, raise the profile of the county, and encourage people to come and see what Huntingdonshire has to offer."
