Huntingdonshire District Council is launching its annual Community Chest fund, which is specifically targeted towards small organisations. This ongoing initiative, which has been increased to £60,000 for the second year running, is a core part of our commitment to initiatives aimed at helping build strong and resilient local communities.

Through a competitive bidding process, grants can be secured up to a maximum award of £5,000. The application form, eligibility criteria and time plan for the fund are available on our Grants page.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 31 May 2016.

Chris Stopford, Head of Community at Huntingdonshire District Council said: "The Community Chest continues to deliver important financial support to those small but significant projects in our towns and villages across the district that add so much to community life, and which might otherwise go unfunded or fail. We have again set aside £60,000 to provide help to small groups in Huntingdonshire and competition for funds is always strong, so I urge any organisation to get their application in soon."
