Huntingdonshire District Council’s (HDC) Operations Division is seeking your views on the services it provides and has created a short multiple choice survey about waste collections, street cleaning, grounds maintenance, HDC markets, countryside services and council-run car parks.

HDC is responsible for:

  • Waste collections provided to over 70,000 domestic properties, offering a collection for residual waste, waste for recycling and a garden and food waste collection. We also provide a number of bring sites for the collection of clothing and textiles.
  • Street cleaning of pavements and pedestrian areas, removal of graffiti from public buildings and street names, removal of illegal signs and flytipping and the provision of litter bins.
  • Grounds maintenance including grass cutting, shrub and tree pruning, play areas and annual beddings.
  • Car parks within the town centres.
  • Markets that are run weekly in St Ives town centre and Huntingdon's Market Square.
  • Countryside services which includes the Countryside Centres and various nature reserves around the district.

The same survey was conducted last year and with over 200 responses the results were encouraging, demonstrating high overall satisfaction levels. The council hopes to compare this year’s results to make sure residents remain satisfied with the services provided by its Operations Division.

To complete the survey visit www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/operationssatisfaction, which is available from 12 December until the end of January 2017.

Cllr Robin Carter, whose executive responsibilities include Operations, said: "It’s really important we understand how satisfied our customers are with the services we provide. Your feedback will help us to improve these services and make it more efficient in the future. We want you to be as honest as you can. You don’t have to leave any personal details unless you require a response to any of your answers."
