Walking sports have become increasingly popular over the past few years. They're exactly what they sound like - standard games of the nation's favourite sports where players walk instead of run. They’re designed to help people get fit or maintain an active lifestyle no matter what their age and fitness, as well as support people getting back into a sport if they’ve given it up due to age or injury.

The One Leisure Active Lifestyles team at Huntingdonshire District Council runs walking sports sessions across the district. Walking football sessions are available at One Leisure Huntingdon, St Neots and now at Ramsey. Walking netball sessions are currently held at One Leisure St Neots and Ramsey.

These sessions are great to get people back enjoying a sport they once loved whilst keeping them active. Why not enjoy a friendly game during the day, after work or in the evening? You can come on your own or bring a friend with you.

The sessions are £3 per person and all abilities are welcome. For more information on days, times and what to expect at the sessions, please contact Doug Finlayson, Sports Activator, on 01480 387098 or doug.finlayson@huntingdonshire.gov.uk.
