On Sunday 3 April, the first in a series of sculpture workshops is taking place at Huntingdonshire District Council’s Hinchingbrooke Country Park. The workshops will give you the opportunity to create fantastic sculptures out of willow with guidance from a professional basket maker.

The other workshops taking place later in the year are two willow basket making workshops and a portrait photography day with a professional photographer. Details of these events can be found in the Creative Workshops brochure.

Huntingdonshire District Council’s Events and Promotions Officer, Alison Gray, said: "This will be a really fun day playing with willow! It is suitable for complete beginners or those with a little experience. You can make a dragonfly, a bird, a sphere or a bean frame - you may even have time to make more than one."

The workshop costs £50 per person and runs from 10am until 4pm. You have to be 14 years of age or older to take part and need to be accompanied by a paying adult (18+). Since places are limited, please book and pay in advance by calling One Leisure on 01480 388500. One Leisure members can book and pay online.
