Please note: You will not be able to register for the 25 January 2022 workshop until the 23 November 2021 workshop has been completed. You will also not be able to register for the 22 February 2022 workshop until the 25 January 2022 workshop has been completed. There is a maximum of 100 Digital Business Grants available through this scheme and once the funds have been exhausted the scheme will close.

Businesses must be trading and solvent to receive the digital business grant. This fund is not designed to pay wages or delay any potential insolvency.

All businesses will be subject to financial checks at the application stage in line with Government guidance to local authorities.

The Huntingdonshire Digital Business Grant scheme recognises that there are many businesses that have struggled. This scheme is very clear, it supports digitisation ambitions of businesses from all sectors.

Some businesses may be evolving digitally from a lower financial base as a result of the effects of the pandemic. For these businesses and for those belonging to the sector list above, they must be viable and as such, they will be subject to financial checks.

All businesses from all sectors are welcome to apply and must prove their eligibility by attending one of our business digitisation workshops prior to the submission of an application. The application must comply with our policy document [PDF, 0.3MB].

This application system does not allow you to submit an application without all of the evidence documentation that is set out in the policy document [PDF, 0.3MB]

Please ensure that you have all of the necessary information to hand before starting your application. Please follow the application form carefully.

Please allow up to 8 weeks for your application to be processed, validated, financial checks performed, review and decision of any award.

Unfortunately, this will not be possible as resources are very limited. You can contact economic.development@huntingdonshire.gov.uk if you have any questions prior to making an application. Emails to the above address chasing a decision, to a live application will not be answered.

No, however grants received are income to a business and will be subject to tax. Only businesses which make an overall profit once grant income is included will be subject to tax.

No. The attendance of a business digitisation workshop is a mandatory step in the process to applying for a digital business grant. The purpose of the workshop is to provide practical support to local businesses wishing to maximise their use of digital technologies. This workshop provides useful and relevant information in addition to identifying other funding schemes which your business may be eligible for.

No. You can only apply for one grant per link that is sent as per the booking made on Eventbrite. The council is accountable to central government for the allocation of this fund and a clear audit trail must be demonstrated. Applicants who attend the workshop can only apply for one grant per business entity in line with our policy.
