Huntingdonshire residents and visitors are being given the opportunity to participate in a new photo competition, announced today. Part of our 'Think Local' campaign, the Springtime Snaps Photo Competition seeks to celebrate the amazing spaces and places of Huntingdonshire and encourage residents and visitors to explore the local area.
Building on the success of the autumnal Capture What Captures You competition, for the next three weeks, we are asking people to share their springtime snaps of the district. All entrants will be in with a chance of winning Click It Local vouchers.
Photo entries submitted must be taken within Huntingdonshire but can be of anything that inspires local photographers, from a favourite place or landscape to a prominent local building or hidden high street gem.
Entries must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line "Springtime Snaps Photo Competition" by midnight on 13 March 2022.
Three winners will be chosen after the closing date with the winning entrant set to be awarded £100 worth of Click it Local vouchers. Second and third place entrants will also be announced; with Click it Local vouchers of £50 and £30 awarded. View competition terms and conditions.
Executive Leader of the council, Councillor Ryan Fuller, said: "Huntingdonshire is home to so many beautiful sights, from our historic high streets to our unique riverside views. The Springtime Snaps Photo Competition is a chance to showcase all that’s on offer across the district."
"We look forward to receiving photos from those who live in and visit the area and to seeing the district through their lens."
'Think Local' is a campaign designed to encourage residents and visitors to support their local high streets, with reassurance they can do so safely. The campaign is supported by the UK Government’s Welcome Back Fund via the European Regional Development Fund.
