Streets & Parking

An off-street parking order is the legal basis for providing parking spaces, setting appropriate charges, and enforcing restrictions.

Cambridgeshire County Council has made an application to the Department for Transport under the Traffic Management Act 2004 (2004 Act), for the District of Huntingdonshire to be designated as a civil enforcement area and a special enforcement area.

The designation and the proposed order will enable Huntingdonshire District Council and its authorised officers to utilise Civil Enforcement Powers to enforce off-street parking within the District of Huntingdonshire.

For these reasons, the council proposes to make a new order.

The date that this order shall come into operation will reflect the date that the Secretary of State designates the area as a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions and a special enforcement area.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order may do so either by submitting responses by email to parkingconsultation@huntingdonshire.gov.uk or by sending a written statement of objection, stating the grounds on which the objection is made to the Head of Economy, Regeneration and Housing before 29 May 2025.
