Job details
As a Development Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the effective administration and smooth operation of our Revenues and Benefits IT systems. As well as maintaining daily system reports, supporting system upgrades, audits and statistical returns, you’ll also be responsible for processing Discretionary Housing Payments.
About you
You will need to have in-depth knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax legislation and be familiar with the NEC Revenues and Benefits system. The successful candidate will need to be someone who:

can interpret and make decisions by applying legislation and guidance appropriately, fairly and consistently

has excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable them to deal with internal and external customers.

can work under pressure, meet deadlines, and is able to demonstrate a proactive and adaptable approach to changing priorities

has a keen eye for detail in providing accurate statistical and reporting data.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
