Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for property management? We are seeking an Estates Manager to lead and manage our diverse property estate, ensuring its effective use and compliance while maximising value for the community.

About the role

As the Estates Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Finance and Governance Services Directorate. You will be responsible for the active management of both operational and investment properties, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards and utilised efficiently. Your expertise will help us meet the council’s corporate objectives while fostering sustainability and social value in our property dealings.

You will lead a small team, manage budgets, conduct property inspections, and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver innovative property solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking and politically engaged environment.

About you

As a qualified Chartered Surveyor, you will have significant experience in estates management, with a proven track record of handling complex property portfolios in both public and private sectors.

Your strong interpersonal and negotiation skills will enable you to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive and adaptable, you will be committed to delivering high-quality outcomes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
