Job details
The Parking Processing Support Officer role plays a key part in supporting our day-to-day service delivery.
We have 1 full-time role available and welcome applications for part-time. The full-time salary is £24,534 per annum working 37 hours, 5 days per week.
You will provide support to customers regarding parking permits, responding to both calls and email correspondence. The role will review charge notice appeals, make decisions, and support the Processing Manager on case progression.
The postholder is key to the delivery of core service functions, which includes carrying out site checks from a safety perspective to ensure areas are free from issues (this will require use of a council vehicle).
The role will support both on and off-street district wide parking enforcement and car park operation. There will be an initial focus on off-street (car parks) while the council completes works to implement Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) which moves the enforcement of a number of offences from the police to the Council.
Due to the nature of the role, you should be able to demonstrate in your application where you have worked in a customer-focused setting and have excellent attention to detail as you will be required to accurately process information relating to offences.
This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, working both independently and as part of a team.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
