What attracted you to HDC?
It was the chance to work in a place that made a difference in people's lives, develop my career and learn some new ICT skills.
What do you value most about working here?
The culture. People across all our teams want to do the best for Huntingdonshire, whether that's on the front line or in the teams that provide support that allows others to make things happen. The other thing is that we are big enough to get things done, but not too big that people don't work together across different teams - so it makes it a friendly place to work.
What keeps you here?
The variety. No two days are the same and that's kept me interested across my entire career. I have also been given lots of opportunities to develop and from starting as a business analyst in ICT to now working across the whole organisation the council has consistently been really supportive and looked after me. I owe this place a lot.
What advice would you give others who are considering a career at HDC?
Take a bit of time to find out about what we do - it's massive - and then think about what excites you the most and go for it.
