UK Parliamentary Election - 4 July 2024

There will be a UK Parliamentary Election on Thursday, 4 July 2024. The Notice of Election for the Huntingdon constituency is set out below.

We will administer the election of the Member of Parliament for the Huntingdon constituency.

Please see the Statement of Persons Nominated below that details the candidates standing in the Huntingdon constituency.

South Cambridgeshire District Council is responsible for administering the election of the Member of Parliament for the St Neots and Mid-Cambridgeshire constituency.

Peterborough City Council is responsible for administering the election of the Member of Parliament for the North West Cambridgeshire constituency.

The deadline to register to vote in this election is midnight on Tuesday 18 June 2024.

Photographic identification

At these elections, you will need to provide photographic identification before you can vote at a polling station. Please read our Voter ID page to learn more. If you do not have one of the required forms of ID, you can apply for a free voter authority certificate. The deadline to apply is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024.

Voting by post or proxy

If you are unable to vote in person you can apply to vote by post or appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf.

If you wish to apply for a postal vote, please note that we must receive your application by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024. You will not need photo ID to vote by post.

If you wish to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf, they will need to go to your polling station and have their own photo ID to vote on your behalf. The deadline for proxy applications is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024. Please visit our How to Vote page for further details on how to apply.

Count and results

The votes for the Huntingdon Constituency will be counted overnight after the close of polls on Thursday 4 July 2024 at One Leisure St Ives.
