Residents are invited to join the fun at One Leisure Sawtry as the centre hosts a free Open Weekend on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March to celebrate the recommissioning and reopening of the Sawtry Swimming Pool.

To mark the reopening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 1pm on Saturday 28 March, officially welcoming the community back to Sawtry Swimming Pool.

The Open Weekend is a great opportunity for the local community to explore the facilities and enjoy a range of activities suitable for all ages. Across the two days, visitors can take part in Floats and Fun swim sessions, lane swimming, family swims and more, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

With Sawtry’s growing population, the reopening of the swimming pool will play an important role in supporting the local community, providing accessible and affordable swimming opportunities for all.

Cllr Sally Howell, Executive Member for Communities, Health and Leisure, said: “Reopening Sawtry Swimming Pool is an important moment for the local community, and the Open Weekend gives everyone the chance to come along, take part in free activities and join us as we officially mark the pool’s return”

Spaces for Open Weekend activities are free but must be booked in advance. The centre’s gym will remain open and operating as normal throughout the weekend. Gym sessions will continue to be chargeable and are not included as part of the free Open Weekend activities.

Whether you are a regular visitor or new to One Leisure Sawtry, the Open Weekend is a great chance to get active, try something new and enjoy the facilities.
