Hinchingbrooke Country Park is undergoing a major redevelopment to secure its future as a much-loved green space for generations to come.

Latest works bulletin

Car park closure - 15 June to 3 July 2026

To facilitate works to the northern section of the access road, the car park is expected to be closed for a three-week period from 15 June until 3 July. Contractors will make every effort to complete the works within this timeframe; however, this cannot be guaranteed.

If you would normally travel to the park by car, we strongly encourage you to avoid visiting during this period to help minimise the impact on neighbouring roads and surrounding residential areas.

HCP side and front

Cafe closure - 15 June to 3 July 2026

As the access road will be unavailable during this period, we will be unable to accept deliveries, and therefore the café will also need to close throughout these works.

Play area closure - From 1 June 2026

The fenced play area will be closed from 1 June to enable site works to progress to the next phase.

HCP Hoarding Line From 1St June

Temporary toilet facilities

We expect the temporary toilet facilities to be operational from the week commencing 1 June. Once operating, the existing toilet facilities located at the rear of the cafe will no longer be available for public use.

Site hoarding

A new hoarding line will also be erected from 1 June 2026 to facilitate the next phase of works.
