Priority for 2025-2028

Our strategic assessment published in 2024 highlighted the 4 types of crime that require the most attention as being:

  • violence against the person

  • child sexual exploitation

  • sexual offences

  • shoplifting.

Following a further breakdown of these crime types, we created 5 action plans, focused on the following, each with an individual lead from members of the CSP:

  • shoplifting

  • serious violence duty

  • town centre support

  • child criminal exploitation

  • supporting the night-time economy.

Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews

A Domestic Abuse Related Death Review, formerly known as a Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) is a multi-agency review of the circumstances in which the death of a person aged 16 or over has, or appears to have, resulted from violence, abuse or neglect by a person to whom they were related or with whom they were, or had been, in an intimate personal relationship, or a member of the same household as themselves. Since 13 April 2011 there has been a statutory requirement for local areas to conduct a DHR following a domestic homicide that meets the criteria.

Below are the DHRs that have been commissioned by the HCSP:

The HCSP commissions Cambridgeshire County Council’s Crime Research team to produce quarterly Strategic Assessments that focus on the HCSP’s priorities.
