Huntingdonshire District Council has secured funding from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) to deliver several projects in St Ives that will improve the town's connectivity, champion the town’s heritage, and transform businesses to contribute to the prosperity and excellence of the town.

Shop Front Grant Scheme

Launched in the Summer of 2023, the Shop Front Grant scheme is being offered to businesses in St Ives and Huntingdon. Businesses can apply for a grant of up to £10,000 to renovate or refurbish the outside of business premises.

Broadway cycle link

This will deliver a new cycle route in the Broadway area of St Ives, as well as improve the highways and public realm in the surrounding area. Detailed designs of the route have been created after consultation with the town council and local community. Construction will begin shortly and is scheduled to be completed by mid-2024.

We will be working closely with Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) to deliver this project.

Bandstand

We have supported the town council in the installation of a bandstand. Located within the heart of St Ives, the bandstand is an asset which champions the town's cultural identity and heritage. Work on the bandstand took place from Spring to Summer 2023.
